FRIENDS’ ASSOCIATION

Who we are

The Friends' Association is a fundraising committee run by parents of children in the school and some of the staff. It helps provide all those little extras that enhance the children's lives in school.

We greatly appreciate any assistance. This can be anything from a little time spent helping out in the background, to coming along to the functions with friends and family or by joining the "Friends" committee. The money raised supports the school to enhance learning and provide activities for all the children.

What we do

We are always looking for new people to come and help at our events, to provide ideas, or carry out small tasks for us.  If you can provide any help, however large or small, then please contact us.

We would love to hear your comments, suggestions and feedback regarding anything to do with Friends of St. Agnes

We have raised £793

In November 2018, the school requested our assistance in funding one (1) year membership costing £300 for the Power of Reading.  A CLPE resource that allows access to over 200 teaching sequences and over 1000 examples of classroom practice that guide planning and help you to select the best teaching approaches to explore high quality texts in depth, enhancing reading comprehension and providing meaningful contexts and purposes for writing. This resource is accessible for Foundation Stage, KS1 and KS2. We hope to build subject knowledge through the use of good quality children’s literature in all learning.  Another focus will be to raise the achievement and attainment of children in literacy making sure it is in an effective and sustainable way.
