  • bean bag aiming activities (Evie and Edith)

Year 3

We collected items from the CJ box and we made a map showing the place that Nelly Bly travelled in different parts of the world. We had include all 7 continents on our map, oceans, a trail and countries she travelled through. (James H)

Year 2

We had to design and build a coach for the Queen.  We used hoola hoops, bean bags, mats and stools to construct our coaches.  Avoria was our Queen and Reuben was the coach driver.  Me and Mia were helping on the coach.  Our team's coach won because we including all of the features in the instructions. Commando Joe

Some amazing team work in our Y3 Co-Jo challenges this week.  Great to see co-operation and team building skills.

Some of the activities include: -

  • Scarf blowing breathing techniques (REC)
  • Classical Music pencil walks (Year 3)
  • Sadsville Story sharing (Year 6)
  • Breathing dot to dot (Year 6)
  • Bag of worries / melt the worries workshop (Year 5)
  • Fly our worries away - butterflies (Year 4)
  • Happy Thought Clouds (Year 2)
  • Cosmic Yoga (Year 1)
  • Friday Assembly - A glass of water analogy
NSPCC Assembly

We welcomed Jill and Patricia into school this afternoon to deliver their NSCPP assembly.  It was  very through and well presented; giving children opportunities to reflect on behaviour that is appropriate and inappropriate but most importantly on what to do and who to turn to for advice and support.

Being Mindful and Mental Health Awareness

On Monday 10th February, the ladies from Sens8tional visited our school. They worked with some of the children on the importance of being mindful and gave them strategies to help when they are feeling pressure or overwhelmed. What a great morning!

The Linking Network

This is just a sample of  work St Agnes' pupils have been undertaking to celebrate the key principals of the project.

We have been looking at poetry, art and story to try and demonstrate our understanding of IDENTITY, COMMUNITY, DIVERSITY AND EQUALITY.

Anti-bullying Assembly

Emma from 'The Linking Project' came into school to share a story about individual identity.  The children were asked questions about their likes and dislikes and she read a story about Leonard the Lion.  We really enjoyed it.

Mrs Henderson will be working with all classes during their PSHE sessions on a book called #Goldilocks.  This looks at the impact of social media and posting images and comments without permission.  The children will also be celebrating their own identity in a series of circle time activities during the week.
