Our Trip to Newcastle
Year 2 enjoyed a trip to Newcastle on the 14th November. We were met by our guide, George, who first of all took us on a tour of the Bigg Market and told us about the history of the area and some really interesting things about what Newcastle was like along time ago. Then we returned to the Newcastle Castle where we learned about the history of castle and some of the people who lived there. Unfortunately because the weather was so wet and cold we were unable to do our planned walk to the quayside. We had to cut our trip short and return to school, but not before we all enjoyed our packed lunches in the Castle.
