St. Agnes' Catholic Primary School

Act justly, love tenderly, walk humbly with your God

Mini Vinnies

Part of our Catholic mission is to help others and, at St. Agnes' Catholic Primary School, we do so in many different ways. One of these ways is through our Mini Vinnies Group.

What are Mini Vinnies?

The Mini Vinnies are quite literally mini St. Vincent de Paul’s.

Mini Vinnies are 7 to 11 year olds based in schools and parishes across England and Wales, and in several other countries across the world. They come together to form a part of the St. Vincent de Paul Society England and Wales, a voluntary organisation dedicated to tackling poverty in all its forms. Mini Vinnies meet to pray, discuss and support however they can to help make a difference in their communities.

Our New Mission Statement

Our Mini Vinnies were given the very important task of creating our new school Mission Statement.

We looked at our old one and decided that it needed to be updated to reflect what St. Agnes’ School means to us today. We did a lot of research and thought carefully about what St. Agnes’ school means to us and what is so special about it. We thought about what was important to us as a school community and how we would like to be viewed by others. We then worked extremely hard to put all of these qualities into a well-written Mission Statement that we felt reflected our school community’s views. We created three different versions which we then put to the vote. We asked all of the children, staff, parents and governors to vote for their favourite. The following is the winner and our brand new Mission Statement. We feel like it sums our school up perfectly! We hope you agree.

St. Agnes’ is our school with Jesus at the heart, where each individual can grow in the knowledge and love of Christ. Everyone in our school community is valued and respected and our talents are celebrated.

We aim to provide a high standard of education where learning is enjoyable and children are inspired to reach their true potential. We love, care and respect everyone and treat everyone equally.

We are a school where we learn and grow, following in the footsteps of Jesus.

“This is what Yahweh asks of you, only this,

That you act justly,

That you love tenderly,

And that you walk humbly with God.”

Micah 6:8
